Working on cotton, we will sample design possibilities using a variety of natural dye methods and recipes. We will incorporate stencils, wood blocks, and brushes, working with a range of natural dye materials. Emphasis will be placed on layering, selecting appropriate recipes, and adjusting thickness to achieve desired effects. The cloth will be approached as an exploratory surface, allowing for experimentation with pigments and paints on fabric, thickened dye extracts, layered mordants, and submersion dyeing techniques.
Cost $135 - all materials included - Register HERE
